5.0 (7 verified reviews)

Before you book

  • This is a walk on Haleakalā's lower slopes above Kula, at about 3,500 ft. It is not in the national park and goes nowhere near the summit, so no park fee or reservation is involved.
  • You drive yourself: park on the roadside by Kula Country Farms without entering the farm, then follow the llama van to the trailhead. No transport or food is included.
  • Ages 13 and up. The path is fairly flat, but the listing asks for good fitness, and the trek is not suitable for people with back, heart or mobility problems or for wheelchair users.
  • No one can guarantee a clear sunset. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.
