Maui: Haleakala Sunrise Tour with Pick-up

Before you book
- Sunrise is watched from the summit visitor center at 9,740 ft, by Valley Isle's own account, not from the 10,023-ft summit. Kalahaku Overlook is on its itinerary; the crater views are from overlooks, not a hike.
- The listing gives no pickup times or areas, only a request to arrive 15 minutes early. Valley Isle's own site gives hotel and condo pickup between 2:00 and 3:30 am, so confirm yours with the operator.
- Not suitable for people with respiratory issues. The park asks pregnant women and people with heart or breathing conditions to see a doctor first, and no one should go up within 24 hours of scuba diving.
- No sunrise reservation is needed (as of October 2026): Valley Isle Excursions is on the park's list of sunrise tour operators. Hooded blankets are supplied, but guests in them still felt very cold, so dress warmly.
- No one can guarantee a clear sunrise. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.
