Haleakala Daytime Self-Guided Express Bike Tour w/ Bike Maui

Before you book
- No hotel pickup: you meet at Bike Maui's shop in Haiku Marketplace, 810 Haiku Rd. Bike Maui's FAQ gives an 8:30 am check-in for day rides and a finish around 12:30 pm, but its tours page shows 9:30 am, so confirm.
- This ride never enters the national park. A van takes you to about 6,500 ft, just outside it, for the switchbacks through Haleakalā Ranch, then a second ride from above Makawao back to Haiku.
- Riders must be 15 or older, at least 4 ft 10 in tall and able to use hand brakes. Not for pregnant riders, anyone over 300 lb (136 kg) or anyone who has been scuba diving in the previous 24 hours.
- Food is not included: Bike Maui serves only coffee and cocoa at its shop, so a meal in Makawao is at your own cost. Baldwin Avenue is closed to bike tours on Wednesdays, so on a Wednesday ask how the ride runs.
- No one can guarantee clear views on the day.
